Scene: (Opening Scenes) Crane at construction site. A bald man sitting in a window booth in a nearby coffee shop exhibits bizarre behavior while he watches the construction site and a waitress takes his order. He observes through binoculars and writes in a strange language in a notebook. The construction site starts falling apart as chaos ensues after a massive explosion underground.

Scene: Walter is having a root beer float in a cafe when the strange bald man sits with him. They have a strange conversation about the treat and then the man brings up the subject of the beacon and thanks Walter for hiding it. The man tells Walter that he will soon have answers to his questions.
