at the credits a song by Hendrix was played by someone else, who was it?
hey, i'm pretty sure there was someone else singing Rocket man at the ending and through the credits? any one know who sang it if so? :]
It was My Morning Jacket doing 'Rocket Man'. It was originally done for some 7" or something - but is available on CD on their compilation "Chapter 1: The Sandworm Cometh: Early Recordings"
ok for rocket man, but what about the song during the credits ????
Yea me to, come on sounds like little wing but I don´t know
little wing by stevie ray vaughon
Stevie Ray Vaughan and who else? I can't find that exact one, and there's two guitars in the TV series version, bass, and very little drum. TIA
It´s NOT Stevie ray vaughn I got that one and Im sure it´s another one
Unida, Steve Vaughan has about 10 versions out. Only a few are played with other people (Pink floyd, Robert Plant, etc), and there's TWO guitars playing. It's driving me nuts also, I dunno why, it just does ;)
They played it again on tonight's ending (the Devil's Threesome).. I caught another second of the beginning, there's a synthasizer in there JUST before the guitars start..
yea this song is killing me. i've checked out all the leads on this, little wing and castles made of sand..listened to tons of versions and can't find any resemblance. any way of asking showtime?
castles in the sand by Chaka Khan
It's definitely Little Wing, but not a version I've heard before. Anyone found out yet who this is???
i have 10 versions and counting..none match so far
trying to find this out myself. agreed it's not stevie ray's version. wikipedia lists the following versions:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Wing
I uploaded a clip boys and Girls.. now we'll wait and see and hope :)

Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?
it sure has the sound of little wing, but it definitaly isn't. So please tell me what to look for!
haha funny to stumble on this site since i just heard the bit at the end of the episode and thought it might be SRV but its not so i guess it can be Becca..:) really nice though
you guys are all idiots it's not little wing, do you even listen to music, every version of little wing has similarities, just because there are pauses and a stevie sounding guitar riff doesn't mean it's "little wing" Hillorious!!!!
^ thats all well and good but since you only know what it isn't and not what it is should you really be so full of yourself?
i read somewhere that it was yellow ledbetter by Pearl Jam but im not certain. Ive watched the season some months ago
"me", I think you're right Bro. Even Wikipedia says "Pearl Jam - 'Yellow Ledbetter' (End Credits)" at the Bottom of the page:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Whore_of_Babylon_(Californication_episode)
Some YouTube videos even call some of the different versions "Pearl Jam, Yellow Ledbetter/Little Wing". I think you nailed it.
It is absolutely NOT Yellow Ledbetter. I'm not a big Pearl Jam fan, but that is my favorite song. I own multiple versions of the song & just like in the case of Little Wing, it's real close, but that 10 seconds does not happen in any version I can find.
This is frustrating as hell, but I'm glad to at least know the same conversations I've had with friends & other message boards is also going on here. At least I know I'm not crazy.
i'm looking for it for a few days. i guess it'll be little wing, this is quite similar http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPQ0aPcqWgM&feat...
Its an odd live version of "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room" by John Mayer
I think mayermusic is right guys, tone fits, so does the key.
Just gotta find the version now.....
I think it 's a song specially done by Californication, we can't found it
is this song fellas:
20-tyler_bates_and_tree_adams-main_title_theme_from_californication.mp3
enjoy!
Not Little Wing. Not Yellow Ledbetter. But heavily influenced by both.
learn how to spell hilarious if your going to try and make fun of people
it´s Elton John - Rocket Man (I Think It's Go..)
Is the version of Rocket Man at the end where Hank is getting arrested a different version? I know it's Elton John but it doesn't sound like the original album version....
Did we figure this out yet... I can't figure it out either?
I am certain it's not yellow ledbetter or little wing... though i can see the confusion seeing as yellow ledbetter and slow dancing in a burning room are both heavily influenced by hendrix.
also... mayermusic is usually john mayer's alias online so that may have been john mayer confirming it.
Defenitly not "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room" by John Mayer.
It is a version of Little Wing, no doubt there, (who's so stupid/deaf to think otherwise??) but I don't know who the artist is, might be John Mayer...
could somebody upload this song? The link is dead and i'd like to look for it.
